Expiration Date - Exhibition
EXPIRATION DATE, running from 22nd-28th August 10am-4pm, showcases the work of the final six MA Fine Art students ranging from ceramics to installation, painting and sculpture. Join this cohort on Friday 22nd August at 6pm for their performative closing sale, meet the artists in the “staffroom” and grab a free drink before seeing what reductions have ended up in the clearance bin.
This exhibition showcases the work that the artists have produced for several months as they edge towards the end of the final MA Degree show. The students, Ollie Daniels, Stefan Fuga, Mary Fountain, Shannon Godfrey, Rebecca Leivers and Rebecca Morley, have used a satirical approach to marketing this body of work as a bittersweet farewell to the course as they close its shutters with a bang.
The work showcased in EXPIRATION DATE ventures down through many departments. As you walk through the sliding glass doors you can find folklore in the frozen section or why not sample some fantasy art down by aisle nine. Other topics explored include but are not limited to psychology, the inner self, the body and its connection to the earth.
August 26th 10am the artists will be doing a guided walk through the work on display, exploring their ideas and concepts in greater depth.
